Achievements & Awards

Born in Kolhapur, Vinod passed his B.E. (Civil) degree from Walchand College of Engineering (Sangli). He had passed Sangeet Alankar from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya Mandal which is supposed to be equivalent to M. A. Music. He is a chartered Engineer and Member of Institution of Engineers as well as follow of Institution of valuers. Presently working as a Director (Formally Vice President) in Shri. Mahalaxmi Co-op. Bank , a very renowned bank in Kolhapur. He regularly gives performances of both Classical & light music on AIR Sangli. He achieved following awards & prizes.

1. Kolhapur Bhushan Award by Kolhapur Municiple Corporation in 2004 by hands of Bharatratna Pt. Bhimsenji Joshi.
2. Gold medal being first in All India Radio Competition (Final) in 1977.
3. Shilpkar Gaurav Puraskar in 2004.
4. Karveer Bhushan Tararani Puraskar by Madhura Pratisthan in 2006
5. Manpatra by Sanskar Bharati in 2006.
6. First prize in classical music competition held by Vile Parle Music Circle (Mumbai) in 1984, Lokhitwadi Mandal (Nasik) in 1982. Sangeet Sadhana (Sangli) in 1984. For these competitions Pt. Gajananbua Joshi, Pt. Ratnakar Pai, Pt. Kanebua of such repute were judges) He also stood first in numerous competitions in college days.
